Millie Carlisle born March 29, 1929 in Venus, Texas to Olin W and Juanita J Gidley Brown, passed away at her home in Dallas on January 5, 2008 after a brief illness. She graduated from Venus High School and worked for Sanger Brother's department Store and later for Sanger Harris Stores. Above all, she was always devoted to her family. She was a member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas. Millie is preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Ian Green. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles J Carlisle. Also survived by son Douglas Carlisle and daughter-in-law Marlene of Garland, son Ronald Carlisle and daughter-in-law Sandy of Frisco and daughter Karen and son-in-law Andrew Jacobs of Dallas; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Carlisle Heard, Christopher Carlisle, Erin Carlisle, Travis Carlisle, Emily Carlisle Green, Ashley Carlisle, Byron Carlisle, Natalie Jacobs, Nicole Jacobs; five great-grandsons, Patrick Short, Taylor Short, Reed Carlisle, Grant Carlisle, Parker Green; two sisters, Dorothy June Stegall of Dallas and Nancy Morris of Aledo; many other family members and friends. There will be family visitation Tues. 6-8 P.M. followed by Service Wed. 11 A.M. at Jeter & Son Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Venus Cemetery, Venus TX. Jeter & Son 4830 W.
