Wilmirth was born on Nov. 4, 1918, in Cannonville, Garfield County, Utah and passed away on Sept. 22, 2010, in Bluewater. She was the daughter of William Leroy and Susie Clawson.
Her life was filled with loving service to her family and church. She loved her grandchildren, and her face would light up when they entered the room. In her spare time, she loved gardening and canning, quilting, reading, crossword puzzles and playing the piano. Her faith was strong in joy and in sorrow and will forever be an example of Christ-like love given freely to all who knew her as she endured to the end.
She was married to Alleyn John Payne, Sr., on June 16, 1940, and later sealed in the Mesa Temple on Nov. 4, 1952.
She is survied by her daughters: Sheila Cox and husband Elvis of Grants, Linda Yager and husband Tom of Dighton, Kan., Kathy Tietjen Payne of Albuquerque, Virginia Rowley and husband Ted of Bluewater; 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers: L. Daryl Clawson and wife Elsie of Ramah, W. Lavar Clawson and wife Doris of Ramah, Evert T. Clawson and wife Margaret of Bluewater, and sister: Lorna White of Bluewater.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Allen J. Payne; sons: Edward Leroy "Teddy" Payne and Allen J. Payne, Jr,; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; parents: William Leroy Clawson and Susie Hamblin Clawson: brothers: William Wayne Clawson, Leroy Clawson, Arlo H. Clawson, Ronald, J. Clawson and John Wayne Clawson; sisters: Susie Clawson, Elsie Clawson, Mary Clawson, Minnie Bloomfield and Betty Jo Gibbons.
