Ernest Ray Moore Jr., 89, Sulgar Road, Reynoldsville (Hazen), died Monday, September 20, 2010 at his home.

He was born March 2, 1921, in Hazen, a son of the late Ernest Ray Moore Sr. and Minnie Corbin Moore.

He was married to Myrtle Belle Roush on Sept. 5, 1942 in Hazen. She survives.

He worked as a farmer and at Brockway Glass Co. in Brockway. He was a member of the Good Sheppard United Methodist Church in Hazen.

Survivors include three sons: Richard E. (Linda) Moore of Reynoldsville, Robert N. (Sharon) Moore of Brockway, William R. (Linda) Moore of Brookville; a daughter, Nancy J. (James) Snyder of Brookville; a brother, Robert L. Moore of Emerickville; two sisters, Velva Croyle of Brookville and Effie Roush of Colorado; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a son, Merlin D. Moore; two brothers, Evertt and Andrew Moore an infant sister, May Moore and a great-grandson, Stephan Byrne.

Friends were received at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville. Private services will be held by the family with Rev. Kevin Bockus officiating.

Burial will be in Temple Cemetery, Warsaw Twp., Jefferson County.
