She was first married to James Henry Holley with whom she had eight children, Thomas Walter, Virjenny Malta, Charles Kelly, James Woodward, Edward McGurius, Milton Allen, Effie, and Laura A. Her second husband was Sherman Hold, son of James and Nancy Hold and brother to George Franklin Hold, the husband of her daughter Virjenny Holley Hold.
