Medical Officer of the Royal Free Hospital, London, M.B., M.R.C.S. He was educated at Kings College Hospital, and was elected an associate of the College. After passing his final examination at the University of London, where he obtained the first place for honours in Obstetric, receiving the University Scholarship and the Gold Medal. He was appointed senior resident medical officer at the Royal Free Hospital, London. He was treating a four-year-old diphtheria patient, who was suffering an obstruction to the throat, which doctors were unable to clear. He put his own lips to the tracheotomy tube and sucked the obstruction free despite knowing that he would himself contract the disease as a result, and both Rabbeth and the child died.
