                     Kathleen V. Hale

Kathleen V. Hale, 87, of Tad went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Heartland of Charleston after a long illness.

She was retired from CAMC Housekeeping Department with 30 years of service and was a faithful member of Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church, Campbells Creek.

Kathleen was a caring and loving person who always saw the good in everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gallie and Ella Crockett Hale; and sisters, Margaret Davis and Louise Whisenant.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Dorothy Elkins of Charleston; special niece, Wanda Pierson and her husband, David, and their children, Lisa Mack and husband, Darrell, and David Pierson Jr. and wife, Vanessa, all of Charleston; great-great-nephew, Travis Mack of Charleston; and several other nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. The burial will follow the service in Collins Cemetery, Tad.

Her family and friends will gather for the visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family wants to thank Heartland of Charleston for all their love and care given to Kathleen during her illness.
