Hon. Gotlieb F. Weber, a veteran of the Union Forces and former Representative to the West Virginia Legislature, died July 7 at his home in Allen District. He enlisted in the Third Maryland Regiment soon after the rebellion began and served out his enlistment. He returned and farmed his place here until his death. Funeral services were conducted at the Friendship United Brethren Church with Rev. H. C. V. Campbell officiating. He was survived by his widow, who was a daughter of the late John Grove and 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls - Charles V. Weber, Boyd Weber, Baltimore; Irvin E. Weber, Pittsburgh; James W. Weber, John J. Weber and Blane Weber of this county. Mrs. J. L. Everett, Mrs. Charles Root, and Miss Bessie Weber at home.
