ELKTON - A funeral for Clarence Jefferson "C.J." Davis, 35, of Route 2, Elkton will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church.

The service will be conducted by Elder Benjamin Cubbage and the Rev. N.M. Booker. Burial will be in the Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Davis died Sunday morning at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Elkton and was a son of Ruth A.B. Davis and the late Clyde Davis, who died May 8, 1989.

Mr. Davis lived his entire life in the Elkton community and was a member of the Mount Sinai Baptist Church. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1972.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Zelma Turner, Sarah Haines and Darline Parker, all of Elkton; seven brothers, Cecil, Leewood, Lewis, Seymour and Theodore Davis, all of Elkton, Leo Davis of McGaheysville and Herbert Davis of Washington D.C.; and a step-grandmother, Maude Davis of Elkton.

The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
