Research work at Harvard University and University of Chicago. Awarded scholarship to University of Chicago in 1911, Fellowship at Clark University in 1912. Member of N.E.A. since 1908, Life member in 1925. Listed in "Who's Who in America." He was President of Bowden State Normal and Industrial College in Bowden, Ga. His picture is on page 751. Member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South and a Democrat. World War - Director of R.O.T.C., Chairman of the Red Cross, Lumpkin Co. and raised more than "double the assement." Sunday school superindentent, Church Lay Leader, Charge Lay Leader, Social Worker.
