Service for David Corbett Hughes, 44, of Bridgeport was to be Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. Dr. Paul Sands was to officiate. Burial was to follow at West Bridgeport Cemetery.
Hughes died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, in Bridgeport.
He was born May 2, 1959, in Lufkin to Jack and Willie (Little) Hughes. He was an assembly specialist for Peterbilt Motor Company. Hughes was a resident of Bridgeport for 23 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.
He is survived by two daughters, Rachel Hughes of Denton and Marissa Hughes of Bridgeport; granddaughter Wynter Petrie of Denton; a sister, Jacqueline Hughes of Beaumont and two brothers, Craig Hughes and wife, Buffie, of Mauriceville and Byron Hughes of Vidor.
Pallbearers were to be Jimmy Hackler, Kyle Potts, Russ Burran, Taft Mohair, Buck Manoushagian and James Williams.
