Park Hill, OK – Funeral services for J. Kenneth Morgan, age 89, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Joe Morgan presiding. Interment will follow services at Pettit Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Todd Carter, Eric Carter, Blayne Carter, Morgan Smith, Gary Morgan and Erin Smith. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Ken Morgan was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on October 11, 1920, the son of Joseph Morgan and Erie D. (House) Morgan. He grew up in a large family, with seven brothers and sisters. On November 9, 1944, Ken was married to Bonnie Lucille Morrow in St. Louis, Missouri. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Ken earned his living as a salesman, specializing in saw mill equipment. In his leisure time he enjoyed bird watching, and was a member of the Audubon Society. His Christian life was vitally important to him, and he was an active member of the Church of Christ. He loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. Ken knew that life was a gift from God. He made a point of enjoying that gift every day. Ken Morgan passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010, at the age of 89 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Bonnie Morgan; and by six of his siblings, Carl Morgan, Irene Watkins, Gene Morgan, James "Pete" Morgan, Patsy McCuistion and June Holderby. Ken's memory will be kept alive by his survivors, including his children, Barbra Smith, Sandy Carter and her husband Rick, and Steve Morgan; his brother, Jerry "Bud" Morgan; his grandchildren, Todd Carter and wife Kari, Eric Carter, Blayne Carter and wife Sarah, Morgan Smith and wife Jesse, and Erin Smith; his great-grandchildren, Anna Carter, Gracie Carter, Paige Carter and Landon Carter; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.
