Salvador Padilla Balderas was the son of Victor Balderas and Leonarda Padilla.
He was born in Montemorelos, Nueva Leon, Mexico.
The family immigrated to the US and resided on the La Casita Ranch in Starr County, Texas near the Rio Grande City area.
Salvador later moved his own family to the Houston area and he worked in maintenance at a chemical plant.
Salvador married Josephine "Josefa" Lazo in 1900.
They had five known children:
Herlinda, Gonzalo, Dagsberto, Lucinda, and Edelmira.
