Mr Zwick was elected township suprvisor (sic) in April, 1941, after being a candidate earlier for township supervisor and also may of La Salle.

At the time of his death he was chairman of the county home and relief committee, and was particularly active in planning construction of a new county home on the present site.

'We all respected him' a fellow suervisor, Dee Bennett of Utica said today. Bennett, an associate of Mr. Zwick's on the board for almost two decades, went on to say, "He was devoted to his work. He never missed a meeting if it was humanly possible. He attended even when he was ill."

Mr. Zwick was also a member of the key committee on board committees, and also the committees which selects all board committees, and also the courthouse and jail committee, insurance and elections, judiciary and state aid roads committees.

After defeating Robert E. Foley and James F. Housby for his first term, Mr. Zwick won reelection five consecutive times, being without opposition in 1945, 1949 and 1957.

For many years, until his illness about a year ago, he was also secretary of two savings and loan associations and in the insurance business. In early years he was associated with his father in the clothing business on Eighth Street.
