Helmer M. Johnson, 86, of Frazee, Minnesota, died April 6. The funeral was in Bethlehem Lutheran Church there April 10 with burial at Binford.
Mr. Johnson was born in Norway June 28, 1886, and came to this country in 1907, moving to Binford where he farmed for several years. He married Alfreda Susag August 1, 1912, and the couple moved to the Frazee area in 1943. His wife died in 1971. An infant son also preceded him in death.
He leaves seven sons, Johnnie, Everett, Washington; Arnold, McMinnville, Oregon; Lester, Tacoma, Washington; Walter, Port Angeles, Washington; Hillard, Granite Falls, Minn.; Levi, Frazee, and Mencer, Aitkin, Minn.;
Three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Nina) Trostad, Binford; Mrs. Eilert (Eleanor) Ramsey, Devils Lake, and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Shaw, Vancouver, Washington; two sisters in Norway; 34 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
