OBITUARY
Funeral services for John A. KELLN, 87, of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma, will be held in Case Hill Funeral Home Chapel at Alva, Oklahoma. The Rev. Clyde Riddle, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Alva, Oklahoma. The Rev. Clyde Riddle, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Alva, will officiate.
Graveside services will be held in the Canadian Cemetery. The Rev. Troy Noland, minister of the First Baptist Church of Canadian, will officiate, with Stickley Funeral Home in charge of Canadian arrangements.
Mr. KELLN died on April 19, 1971 in an Alva convalescent home.
He was born in Holstein, Russia, and came to the United States and homesteaded in Kansas in 1891. He moved to Lipscomb County in 1913 and operated farms there and in Hemphill County. He was a member of the Alva First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his widow, Ione; three sons, J. R. of Waynoka, Oklahoma, David of Canadian; and Ben of Paris; six daughters, Mrs. Elsie TURNER of Perryton, Mrs. Mayme LAUBHAM of Amarillo, Mrs. Martha NITSCHKE of Spearman, Mrs. Bertha LAUBHAM of Follett, Mrs. Josephine GENTILI of Glendale, Arizona and Mrs. Marge HAZLETT of Borger; six stepdaughters, Mrs. Joy DANN of Canadian, Mrs. Anita CLiFTON of McAllen, Mrs. Aline McCORD of Edinburg, Mrs. Mary Jo BARTLETT of Hamilton, Mrs. Leona BULLOCK of Houston and Miss Faye KELLN of Waynoka.
