Glasco Sun, May 31, 1928, page 1:
Frances Almira Wood was born November 16, 1848, at Colchester, Vermont and passed away at her home in Delphos, Kansas on May 29th, at 3 o'clock A.M. being 79 years, 6 months and 13 days of age. She moved with her parents to Boon county, Ill. and there grew to womanhood.
She was united in marriage with George Partick on July 6, 1866. To this union were born six children, two having proceeded her in death.
In 1870 she came with her husband to Kansas in a covered wagon and settled on their homestead where they remained until the death of her husband on Jan. 4, 1905 after which she and her son Colonel moved to Glasco where they made their home until three years ago when they moved to Delphos.
Four children are left to mourn the loss of a dear and affectionate mother: Mrs. Mary Matthews, Mrs. Nellie Davis, Wm. Patrick and Colonel who has lived with her and has been a great help and consolation to his mother. They were all at her bedside when the end came. Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a half-brother at Portland, Oregon, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Maggie Beaver of Glasco and other relatives remain to mourn their loss.
She united with the Christian Church at Capron, Ill. at the age of eighteen years, later transferring her membership to the church at Glasco.
Mrs. Patrick was a lady of sterling qualities, a pleasing personality, and genuine cordiality. Her friends are numbered by her acquaintances, some of them her early day relationships, and others who have become endeared to her during the short time she has made her home at Delphos. When realizing her serious condition she assured her dear ones that she was ready. She has heard the call and has crossed the tide into the beautiful city of light where there is no night neither sorrow nor crying, for God shall wipe all tears from their eyes.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church this afternoon conducted by Rev. R. R. Kaiser. Interment was in the Glasco cemetery.
