OBITUARY

Mrs. W. D. FISHER (Edna Earl Miller FISHER) 66, died at Hemphill County Hospital in Canadian after a brief illness.

Funeral services were at the First Methodist Church with Rev. James Price, pastor, in charge.

Burial was in the Canadian cemetery.

Mrs. FISHER, widow of a prominent early-day Panhandle attorney and jurist, Judge W. D. FISHER, had been a resident of Canadian since her marriage to Judge FISHER in 1918.

The daughter of a Methodist minister, she was born at Fort Worth on June 15, 1894. She graduated from Southwestern University , did graduate work at the University of Texas, and taught in high schools at Childress and Vernon prior to her marriage.

In Canadian, she was a member of P.E.O., for 15 years a member of the WCTU Library Board, taught a Sunday School Class in the Methodist Church in Canadian for nine years, was a member of the church choir for 30 years, and for three years served as District President of the Pampa District WSCS.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. C. (Margaret) BOGAN of Borger and Mrs. W. C. (Dorothy) KOONCE of Bowie, seven grandchildren and two nephews.
