1961 Obituary:
Merton Ray Doolittle, 85, a resident of Boise since 1906, died Wednesday at his home, 1414 North Sixteenth after a long illness.

Mr Doolittle operated the Gem Market at 1410 North Sixteenth for 30 years. He married Charlotte Louise Luff July 15, 1902, in Cumberland, Wisc. They came to Boise in 1906. He was a member of the First Congregation Chruch.

Surviving are his widow; daughters, Mrs Grace L Hopper of Nampa, Mrs Isabelle Griffith of Boise and Mrs Eleanor Moorhouse of Portland, Ore., three grandchildren.

Services are pending at Schreiber and Gibson Chapel.

Services for Merton Ray Doolittle, 85, of 1414 North Sixteenth, a resident of Boise since 1906 who died at his home Wednesday, will be conducted at 11 am Saturday at the Schreiber and Gibson Chapel. Dean William B Spofford, Jr., will officiate and interment will be at Morris Hill.
