Miss Frankie Ethel Showalter of Troutville died in a Roanoke hospital Saturday. She had taught in the primary grade at Troutville for 40 years, and taught a Sunday school class for the same period. Four brothers and a sister survive; J G Showalter, Troutville, John, George, and Victor Showalter, and Mrs Hallie Layman, all of Roanoke. Funeral services were held at the Troutvile Church of the Brethren at 2 p.m. Monday.
