Miss Josephine L. Willey, died Monday morning at her home, 608 Milton avenue. She had been principal of several of the city schools. Miss Willey received her early education at Albany and in 1860 was graduated from Henry college, New Castle, Ky.
She taught in Magnolia school in this city for three years, and in 1876 was made principal of Frazer school. After leaving Frazer school she was principal in the primary department of what is now Geddes-Union school. In 1891 she was made principal of Gere school. She retired in 1918.
The funeral will be Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill cemetery.
