By powers of deduction and that Catherine is buried next to Claus and in his Obituary it states "Claus Jacob Haack was born on September 25, 1931 at Marne, Germany. He resided there for many years and in 1853 he was united in marriage to Catherine Grimsmann. They came to the United States in 1868,". I "assume" this is the same person. Should anyone have any different information, please let me know and I will update it.

Haack, Adelhaide Katherine (Grimsman) 1828-1907

Adelhaide Kathrine Haack.
Not lost, blessed thought,
But gone before,
Where we shall meet,
To part no more.

Adelhaide Katherine, wife of Claus Jacob Haack, died at their home northwest of Remsen September 20, 1907, at the high age of 79 years 4 months and 12 days.

Decedant was born on the 14 day of May 1828 in Marne, Suderdittmarchen Holstein, Germany. There she visited the local schools and was baptised and confirmed after the Lutheran faith and doctrine. On the 25 day of August 1853 she became the wife of Claus Jacob Haack who survives here. In the year 1868 the couple came to the United States, and they established a home in Belle Plaine, Benton County, Iowa. In 1886 they came to Plymouth county and lived here since, a true Christian life and made themselves beloved and respected among their neighbors.

Their union was made happy by the arrival of five children all of whom were born in the fatherland. With the bereaved husband three sons and one daughter are left to mourn the loss of a kind and truthful loving wife and mother, a son having been called to the great beyond in 1901. Deceased has been failing for the last three years, until death came finally to carry her off to the well earned reward in the realms of heaven.
The large concourse of mourners, that followed the remains of this good woman to the last resting place, gave just evidence of the high esteem in which she was held by her friends and neighbors.

Rev Brauer preached an impressive sermon in Christ church and joined the masses that accompanied the remains to the Remsen burial ground. Peace to her ashes!
