Stanley came from a Rev. War family (Matthew Patton) from KY. Stanley worked on the steamships running from Paducah, KY to Waterloo, AL. They married in Waterloo and spent most of their married life in KY.
After Callie died Stanley remarried and was divorced. His body was donated to the University of Louisville School of Medicine and his remains buried at 7th St. Cemetery, later called Manslick Cemetery. He was buried in an unmarked grave. He died in a Home for the Aged and Infirm.
Callie Hawkins parents were Ann Elizabeth "Lizzie" Witherspoon Hawkins and Robert W. Hawkins who died in action in the Civil War. Robert's father was famous Probate Judge, Wiley T. Hawkins, buried in Florence Cemetery in Lauderdale Co. Alabama. It is believed that Robert W. Hawkins and probably Ann Elizabeth Witherspoon Hawkins are also buried in Florence Cemetery (her grave unmarked).
