Ms. Doris Kale Travis 62, of Wesley Nursing Center died Oct. 6, 1993, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Funeral is 4 p.m. today at Concord United Methodist Church cemetery in Statesville, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is at the church's fellowship hall following the service.

Ms. Travis, a Catawba County native, was a Southern Bell Telephone Co. retiree.

Survivors are her brothers, Albert Kale of Lincolnton, R.C. Kale Jr. of Catawba, N.C., Ronnie Kale of Newton; sisters, Mrs. Zelda Glovier, Mrs. Julia Weig, both of Catawba, N.C., Mrs. Brenda Adams of Forest City, Mrs. Kay Dumas, Mrs. Sybil Smith.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3420 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, N.C. 28215.
