Austin R. Sanner, 86, of Bethany passed away 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Bethany with Pastor Richard Hargrave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home, Bethany. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials may be made to the Findlay Christian Church, Findlay or to the donor's choice.
Austin was born December 7, 1923 in Bethany the son of Robert L. and Janie B. (Shipman) Sanner, Sr. He married Patricia V. Poland on December 7, 1944 in Sullivan. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Findlay. He was retired from Englewood Electric, Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Sandy (Carroll) Ray of Bethany and Stanley (Ann) Sanner of Sullivan; grandchildren, Kathy (Dave) Doty, Deana (Jeff) Denton, Scott Ray, Jen (Eric) Goodman, and Beth (Stephen) Puricelli; great-grandchildren, Michael and Ashton Doty, Amelia and JJ Denton, Jillian Goodman and Austin Chandler Ray.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
