Funeral service Juanita Vaughn, 82, of Henryetta will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Burns, officiating. Burial will follow at the Sterling Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vaughn passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Henryetta, OK. She was 82 years old.

Juanita Marie Jay Vaughn was born on January 1, 1932 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Homer and Sally (Graham) Roberts. She attended Lamar Elementary and Moss High School. Juanita married Charlie Jay on January 6, 1948 and they were blessed with two daughters. Juanita and Charlie were married for 46 years when he passed away in 1994. They lived in Lamar and then moved to the Sterling and Cyril areas. Juanita worked on Ft. Sill for civil service until retiring in 1994. She married James Vaughn on February 14, 1998 and the couple moved to Henryetta in 2008. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and being outdoors. She also liked to travel and take roadtrips but most of all she loved being with her family. Juanita was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Juanita is survived by her husband, James Vaughn, of the home; 2 daughters: Charlene "Midge" Conley and her husband Billy of Cyril and Mary Whitlock and her husband Stanley of Henryetta; 2 step daughters: Connie Gadberry and her husband Robert of Yukon and Caroline and her husband Bobby of Oklahoma City; 1 stepson, Harold Vaughn of Cement; 1 brother, Jesse Roberts and his wife Mary Ellen of Camanche, IA; 2 sister in laws: Ruth Roberts of Wetumka and Betty Jay of Purcell; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Juanita is preceded in death by parents, Homer and Sally Roberts; her first husband, Charlie Jay; 2 brothers: Guy and Glendon Roberts; 1 sister, Irene Chandler; 1 granddaughter, Tammy King; and 1 great grandson, Matthew Winsor.
