John E. Pannell is dead at age 91. The body of John E. Pannell 91 year old Hobbsan, who died yesterday at Las Vegas, New Mexico hospital, is being returned here (Hobbs, New Mexico) today. Mr. Pannell lived at 118 South 2nd Street, Hobbs, New Mexico. He entered the hospital eight months ago. He has been in Hobbs since 1935. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by three sons, G. G. Pannell, of Leonard, TX; Tom Pannell of Trenton, TX; and J. P. Pannell of Vernon, TX. Two daughters, Mrs. N. H. Young of Hobbs and Mrs. W. R. Garrett of Compton, California.
Ginnie's notes: Mrs. W. R. Garrett is Tilda Jane. She went by June (Aunt June). She was a Pentecostal preacher. Aunt June had a daughter Darlene?? Also, this obituary was given to the newspaper (Hobbs, NM) by N. H. Young, Aunt Ruthie's husband.
