Moses was the son of Reverend James Noyes and Sarah Brown (Noyes)He married Ruth Pickett in 1673 in Lyme, New London, Conn. He graduated from Harvard Collage in 1659 and became the first minister of Lyme, Conn. And preached over 50 years.
The inscription on his tombstone reads - "Here lies te body of r=thay modest, learned, orthodox & pious Devine, the Revd Mr. Moses Noyes, Paster of ye church of Christ in Lyme who died Nov. 10, 1729 in his 86th year."
