Anthony "Tony" Forte Died peacefully at home on September 18, 2010. Anthony was born on November 21, 1920 in Van Houten, New Mexico. He served in WWII as an Army Warrant Officer. He landed at Normandy in the Battle of the Bulge. Anthony went ahead of the Army to build or repair bridges so the Army could follow. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He ran Tony Forte Realty for 34 years. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lena; son, Ron Forte and wife, Pashella; daughter, Barbara Forte; granddaughter, Nycole Forte; grandson, Anthony Jason Forte; and Amanda Lujan. A Public Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Berardinelli Family Funeral Chapel, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. There will also be another Public Visitation at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 with Burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505) 984-8600
