Frances L. Mayes, 84, of Wichita Falls passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010, in Crestview Memorial Park with Reverend Alpha Robertson, Pastor of Miracle Mission and Reverend Gerald Bryant officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. the same day.

Mrs. Mayes was born October 15, 1925, in Vernon, Texas, to John Wesley and Lula May Hardin. She was a resident of Wichita Falls since 1972 and was a member of Miracle Mission here. She was an Air Force wife beginning in 1942. Lula often helped others as a health care provider.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Pierce and husband, Aubrey of Irving, Texas, and Lila Seawright of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sister, Brenda Hardin; and brother, Bill Hardin, both of Odessa, Texas. Other survivors are eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
