Son of "Lynn" Leon Samuel Knighten & Cornia Spence Knighten

"Silas Forrest Knighten born Mar 30, 1920 (according to Birth Certificate), in Plainfield, Indiana; died Nov 25, 1910, Laurel Fork, VA at the home of his grandfather John T. Knighten.
His mother was Cornia Citie Spence, Daughter of Johnson Minter and Mahala Spence.
Father was Leon (Lynn) Samuel Knighten. Uncle Fed wrote in his book that Lynn left here for Indiana in 1904. They moved from there to Oklahoma after Silas was born. Cornie died in Indianola, Oklahoma Oct 28, 1910 of Typhoid fever and was buried there. Lynn was a bother of George Knighten, Mrs. Wyatt (Lummie) Quesenberry, Mrs. Janie Kighten Turner (mother of Carson Turner), Mrs. Hince (Ethel) Cain.
"The grave beside that of Silas is of the oldest child of Lynn and Cornia, Oram Hubert Knighten, born Sep 17, 1886, died Jun 21, 1897"
