SANDWICH — Phillip Thomas Morrison, 77, passed away September 20, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife Irene.Mr. Morrison was born in Portsmouth, N.H. to the late Edward C. and Dorothy (Brenton) Morrison.Phillip graduated from Arlington High School and UMass Lowell. He taught for a number of years at the Cape Cod Regional Vocational High School. He was the President of the New England Refrigeration and Heating for 13 years. Phillip was proud to work side by side with his son Bill, at the Cape & Islands Heating & Cooling business, which he established in 1997 and continued to own. He retired in 2008.Phillip was proud to have served his country in the US Army. He was a Past Master of Fraternal Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Centerville. He was also a member of the Aleppo Shrine.He enjoyed coaching baseball for many years, was a big Red Sox fan, he loved to sing, working with his hands, dogs and most of all, spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was also an active member of his church, Christ Chapel.Besides his wife Irene he is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Morrison and Linda Vieraboom; sons, William and David Morrison; stepchildren, Nancy and Michael Thomas and a sister, Anne Ciulla. He was predeceased by his brother Edward Paul Morrison. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, a niece and three nephews.Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 24 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, Mass. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on September 25, at Christ Chapel Church, 1200 Old State Rd., Centerville, Mass.
