RITES HELD FOR MR. ROY LEE DICKERSON

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Lee Dickerson, 70, of 110 Orchard Road was held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, in the First Baptist Church in Beckley, West Virginia with Dr. Kenneth L. Swank officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Dickerson died in a local nursing home at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, December 28.

Born February 18, 1907 in Charlotte County, he was a son of the late James Monroe Dickerson and Rosa Harvey Dickerson.

Mr. Dickerson was a retired warehouse foreman for Universal Corporation, Beckley, West Va. A resident of Beckley for the past 34 years, residing in Charlotte County before coming to Beckley, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beckley, the Beckley Gideon Camp and the Beckley Moose Lodge.

His wife, Clara Daughtery Dickerson, preceded him in death August 20, 1967.

Survivors include three brothers, Monroe W. Dickerson of Phenix, Calvin Dickerson of Charlotte Court House, Hansford Dickerson of Keysville; two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Reeves of Boonton, N.J. and Mrs. Frank Greene of Charlotte Court House.

Pallbearers were Earl Whitener, Lawrence Thorne, James Woods, Buck Woods, James Patton, C.R. Brown, O.E. Miller, E.M. Redden and Henry Snodgrass. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Men's Bible Class of the First Baptist Church.
