A 1975 graduate of Hanover High School, Weikert was employed by the maintenance department of Hanover Brands and was a member of Christ's Church in Littlestown.
In addition to his wife and parents, surviving are one daughter, Amber Weikert at home; paternal grandmother, Beulah Weikert of Hanover R. 7, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Glada Foltz of Hanover; one step-brother, Harry Helman III of Hanover R. 7; and three step-sisters, Kimberly Weikert, Jennifer Weikert and Krystle Weikert, all of Hanover.
