Simon Peter Camp, 80, a resident of Chico for the last 31 years, died yesterday morning at his home, 1247 Locust Street. He was a native of Illinois and had resided in San Jose, where he was a member of the fire department for 20 years.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mary F. Camp; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Spangler of Chico, Mrs. Ivy Haynes of Colusa and Mrs. Ada McKinney of Chico, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Norton of San Francisco. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o’clock in the chapel of Westfall Funeral Home, the Rev. W.L. Mellinger officiating. Interment will be in Chico Cemetery.
