R. J. White, 63, Died at Aiken
AIKEN (Special)- Ray J. White, 63, died at 11:20 p. m. Wednesday at the Aiken County Hospital after an illness of a few days.
A native of Chesterfield County Mr. White was the son of the late Heward and Sallie Short White. He came to Aiken County 17 years ago and was in the plumbing business. He was a member of the Marion Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Annie Lou Garland White; one daughter, Mrs. Eddie Edison of Batesburg; four sisters, Mrs. J. B. Rivers, Mrs. J. T. Burch and Mrs. O. C. Gordon, all of Cheraw and Mrs. C. H. White of Charlotte, N. C.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Marion Street Baptist Church at 11 a. m. Friday by the Rev. Francis T. Alewine. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery.
