William, an old-time meat cutter who was still working until 10 years ago died at Mennonite Hospital. Husband of Rachel "Maggie" Margaret Peifer, marrying Jan. 18, 1900. He was the son of Charles and Sarah Shermer Peifer.
He was survived by five sons, Edward, Arthur, Clarence, William and Lester and three daughters, Gertrude Reining, Hazel Blanchard, and Helen Swick. William had 48 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Park Methodist Church.
He had been living at the Heritage Manor after moving from his old address, 1121 S. Barker. He was a meat cutter more than 50 years.
