72, Dies; Funeral
Services Tuesday
Walter L. Styck, 72, 2311 E. Maple St., lifetime resident of Kankakee County, died early Saturday morning at St. Mary's Hospital following an illness of several Months.
Born April 19, 1890, in Rockville Township to Mr. and Mrs. William Styck, he married Mildred Stevens Dec. 22 1908, in Chicago. He farmed in Limestone Township until he retired and moved to kankakee 34 years ago and was then a paint Contractor for several years.
Surviving are his widow: sons, Francis D. of Henderson, NEV., Leo A. of Gardena, Calif., Merwin W. of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Walter H. of Bourbonnais; daughter, Mrs. Violet M. Burns of Joliet; sisters, Mrs. Jane Fronville, Mrs. Nellie Goodrich, Mrs. Jeanette Laube and Mrs. Florence Beavans, all of Kankakee, Mrs. Laura Jennings of Villa Park and Mrs. Mildred Neilon of Milwaukee, WIS.; brothers, George and Fred (Pete), both ofKankakee, and Louie of St. Anne; 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons and seven brothers and sisters.
Fureral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Hertz Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John R. Canedy of Central Christian Church officiating. Visiting hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today, Monday afternoon and evening, and Tuesday until time of service.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
