Viola Lee East, 80, died in her home at 665 S. 7th St. Modesto, at 7:20 pm Friday after a long illness.
Born in Oklahoma, she had been a resident of Modesto 23 years.
Survivors include six children. Ernestine Vail of Ceres, Orbie East of Oklahoma, Verna Pedroley of Riberside and Edith Edna Wolfe, Eulan Louisa Ellis and John East all of Modesto, and 28 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am tomorrow in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
