July 17, 1944 reported onboard U.S.S. Grayson (DD435) Exec. – Palau, Anguar, Philippines, Morotai, Formosa, Okinawa & Saipan.

12/1/1945 - Separated Eighth Naval District, New Orleans rank Lieutenant Commander, (D), USNR with numerous medals, ribbons.

President, American Home Realty – with his uncle, Toddie Lee Wynne and real estate developer B. Hick Majors, developed an 820 acre plot of land in Oak Cliff into the largest post-war residential, commercial planned development in the U.S. It was called Wynnewood.

1955 – 1971 Great Southwest Corporation – planned and developed close to 8,000 acres between Dallas and Fort Worth into the Great Southwest Industrial District; created and pioneered Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Over Mid America, as well as many other projects, including Macco Realty in Newport Beach, CA and the Texas Pavilion at the New York World's Fair. Left GSC when Penn Central Railroad, the company's major stockholder, filed for bankruptcy.

Performed numerous tasks in an astonishing number of civic and religious organizations, over the years receiving a wide variety of prestigious awards and citations.

1971 – 1975 Worked on a variety of interests. In 1973, age 59, he suffered a major stroke and never fully recovered.

March 12, 1979 – An avid hunter, fisherman, reader, arts lover and consultant to kings, he suffered major heart attack and passed away at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, age 65.

March 3, 2001 - State Highway 360 passing through Six Flags and GSID area in Arlington renamed the Angus G. Wynne, Jr. Freeway.
