Tyler Barnett was the son of Judge Andrew Barentt and Frances Catherine Tyler. He married Anna Laura Schwartz on Octber 9, 1883. They had three children: Theodore, Katherine, and Andrew. Tyler was educated in the public schools of Louisville and the Louisville Law School with the class of 1879. He learned the routine of his prfession in his father law office. and was actively associated the the elder Barnett untill the latter's death. Tyler Barnett eventually became a judge and during World War I he was chairman of the Louisville Draft Board.Tyler Barnett was buried on 8/9/1921
