Alice was born in Clinton County, Kentucky the oldest child of Jesse Fielding Staley, (Stailey) and Lucinda Lawson. She married her cousin Randle Lawson.

I am a Lawson descendant, though Randle is a half-brother to my ancestor Adam Granville Lawson in Stephenville Erath Co., Texas.
