David loved sports, especially baseball which he practiced and played from the age of 6. He was an avid photographer (especially nature). He mastered personal computing and wrote programs for his Apple 2, way before it became common place.

David had an incredible since of humor and could get anyone laughing even when we thought there was nothing to laugh about. One particular story involved a photo shoot he did in Yellowstone National Park. He was taking pictures of bison grazing in a large field. Becoming preoccupied with photographic settings, he completely tuned out the fact that some of the Bison had noticed his presence and were getting agitated. By the time he realized what was happening one of the animals was starting to charge him. At that point, camera equipment and film went flying as David ran as fast as he could back to his truck. A little ruffled, David made it back in one piece telling a side splitting story with such exuberance that we all had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard.

David died way too young. He is missed.
