Paula Ann Kirk Bates, 51, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 21, 2010. Paula was born April 14, 1959 in Marianna, Arkansas to Margaret Hardin Kirk and the late Jimmy Kirk.
Paula is survived by her spouse, Randy Bates of Lexa; son, Hayden Bradford Bates (Ryan) of Cabot; 3 daughters, Jennifer Bates of Batesville, Arkansas, April Ostie (John) of Beebe, Arkansas and Terri Kirk Bates of Searcy, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, John Anthony Ostie, IV, Evan James Peters, Micah Ashley Bates, Margaret Alana Bates and Morgan; mother, Margaret Kirk of Lexa; brother, Leon Kirk (Victoria) of Little Rock, Arkansas; mother-in-law, Lurlean Bates of Marianna, Arkansas.
Paula was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Kirk; and brother, Finis Alexander Kirk.
Services will held be Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 2 p.m. at New Beginning Church in West Helena, Arkansas. Reverend Audie Richardson and Father Travis Frank will officiate. Burial will follow at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2010 at Roller-Citizens.
Pallbearers are Leon Kirk, Danny Kirk, Randy Kirk, Donny Hartness, Gary Coley, and Steve Hacker. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Hardin, Mike Hardin, David Hardin, Doyle Hardin, Tim Hardin and John Hardin.
In lieu of flowers, lasting memorials may be made to Wilbur D. Mills Treatment Center, 3204 East Moore Avenue, Searcy, AR 72143.
