Luda Duryea, 87, Douglass died yesterday at the Newton Memorial Hospiital in Winfield.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Douglass. Rev. Gary Bowie will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in Douglass.
She was born Dec. 19, 1894 in Phillips County to George and Alice Romju Abbott.
She married Glenn Duryea Feb. 23, 1916 in Phillipsburg. He preceded her in death, Feb. 22, 1968.
She came to Douglass with her husband in 1918. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Duryea of Douglass; two daughters, Geraldine Taylor of Freemont, Calif., and Phyllis Martin of rural Augusta;
two brothers, Owen Abbott of Republican City, Neb., and Lawrence Abbott of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
