Jeff L. Davis, 78, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010. Mr. Davis was born November 29, 1931 to George Lee Davis and Alice Bates Davis in Higden, Arkansas. He worked for Allied Chemical as a supervisor, he also had an upholstery shop in West Helena. He served 20 years as a volunteer for the West Helena Fire Department.
Mr. Davis leaves his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Davis; 1 son, Kenny Wayne Davis (Angie) of Beebe; 1 daughter, Sharon Davis Buie (Michael) of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi;seven grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Flo Stark (A. W.) of Ward; and 1 brother, Kenneth Thomas Davis (Ernestine) of West Helena.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Jeffie Lee Davis, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Michael Buie, Jr., Taylor Buie, Mike Jarrett, Bill Jarrett, Gary Davis and Tommy Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion.
Services will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 10:00 A. M. at West Helena United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2010 from 5-8 P. M. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena.
