John Minnich, 61, was fatally injured August 24, 1942 when he fell backward, striking his head and fractured his skull. Born on Stoney Ridge road, Ridgeville, he lived in Elyria for more than 30 years and was employed by the Elyria Belting and Machine Co.
He is survived by one son. Sgt. Clarence H. Minnich now stationed in California and by a daughter Mrs. Jack Sielling of San Francisco. He is also survived by five brothers and two sisters. Pete and Mrs. F. J. Kelling of Elyria. Matt and Joseph of Ridgeville, Oliie of West Ridge and Fred and Mrs. M. J. Smith of Chestnut Ridge road.
