Son of Charles Hiram Morgan and M. Elizabeth Trice Morgan.

Charles, who resided at 53 Lawson Avenue, Claymont, Delaware, served as a Corporal and 75 mm gunner with the Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on August 8, 1941, prior to the war, in Trenton, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents.

Charles "Died Of Wounds" received in the vicinity of Tessy Survire, France at North Mimms Park, Hertfordshire, England during the war.

He had served in the Army for three years and one month at the time of his death and was decorated with a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
