David Randolph Beasley was born on October 3, 1876, and died on August 22, 1922, of pneumonia. He was a Supervisor for the Frisco Railroad and went back to work before he was over his illness. He married his 2ND WIFE, CORA G. SPURLOCK, on March 25, 1906, in Hardy, Sharp, Arkansas. They had 3 children together: DAVID HERSCHEL BEASLEY, JAMES REX BEASLEY, AND SUSAN BERNICE BEASLEY. His parents were James I. Beasley and Susan Walker Beasley. He had 5 siblings: Rosetta Beasley, George A. Beasley(not sure of that name), Sallie Beasley, Alice Beasley, and Willie J. Beasley. His sister, Rosetta married William M. Kellett on May 27, 1885. She is buried in Jeff Cemetery, Oregon Co., Missouri. I believe his parents are buried in Ash Flat, Arkansas. His wife, Cora Spurlock Beasley was my grandmother and lived with our family. She is buried in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, MO. Their daughter, Susan Bernice Beasley Adamson, was my mother. She was cremated. Their two sons, David Herschel Beasley and James Rex Beasley lived in California and raised their families. They are buried in California. I wish I knew more about my grandfather's parents and siblings, and, of course, about his 1st wife Elsie Ritchie Beasley and their son Hansel Beasley, who also died of pneumonia at a young age. Elsie Ritchie Beasley is a mystery because I do not know anything about her or when she died.
