YOUNGSTOWN – A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Gloria Jean Woodbridge-Bridges will be held Monday at noon at the Washington Funeral Home.

Mrs. Woodbridge passed away at the Hospice House in Poland on April 26, 2010.

She was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Jenkin Jones, W.Va., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald P. and Rosa Lee Woodbridge.

Gloria attended Smithtown High School in Long Island, N.Y., and came to the Mahoning Valley in 1974.

She was employed by Homecare Network in Boardman, giving 13 years of loyal service as a thoughtful and caring home health aide.

She was a former member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Bruce Woodbridge and fiancée Christy Wyatt of Akron, Travis Woodbridge of Youngstown and Marcus Woodbridge and fiancée Wendy Rue of Xenia; three daughters, Sharese Woodbridge, Janel Woodbridge and Jessica (John) Carter, all of Youngstown; four brothers, Roger (Patricia) Woodbridge of Lamarque, Texas, Charles Woodbridge of Denton, Texas and Cabel and Adam Woodbridge, both of Youngstown; four sisters, Monica Woodbridge of Houston and Evelyn London, Ruth and Carolyn Woodbridge, all of Youngstown; 25 grandchildren: five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Maurice Bridges, whom she married in 1976; her grandmother, Evelyn Revels Walton, affectionately known as "Mama Lene"; her parents; and four brothers, Stanley, Cecil, Robert Woodbridge and Donald Woodbridge Jr.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
