From the Emporia Gazette, page 6, column 3, issued 2 MAY 1904, which reads:
Married 83 Years Ago. Elizabeth Bentley, lacking but eight days of being 101 years old, is dead at her home in Wilson county. She was born in Virginia in 1803, just one month before Madison and Livingston concluded the Louisiana purchase [April 1803]. She was married to John Cormon[sic] when she was 18, and Cormon[sic] became the victim of cholera in 1841.

Elizabeth's 1st husband was John Carman (note spelling).
It is odd that this obituary does not mention her second husband, Jeffrey Bentley, they married 6 July 1842, he died in 1863.
Elizabeth's birthdate would calculate to be 17 March 1803.
